Trendy Tuesday | Birks
…and by “Birks” I mean, BIRKENSTOCKS! This is not the first shoe post to have graced my blog, and it certainly will not be the last.
Today is my third day as an official Birkenstock owner and I am just obsessed with these shoes! It all started when I was watching this video with Eleventhgorgeous showing off their Birkenstocks! Now to be perfectly honest, I wasn’t quite sold at first… I mean, BOTH of my parents do own Birkenstocks (no offense, mom :) but then the idea really started growing on me.
A couple weeks later I saw a gray pair at the mall, took one look at the price tag ($120) and walked right out of the store. No, no, and no. There was NO way I was going to buy a pair of casual shoes (that I could never wear to work) for $120!!
Flash back to this past weekend and I’m searching on my phone for the closest Birkenstock store near me. I walk in, the sales associate directs me straight to the Birk section and start digging! I fell in love with two pairs and figured I would do exactly what my mom would do… buy both pairs, decide later, and return one pair later. So I head up to the register with my Birks in tow, prepare to swipe my credit card, and the cashier tells me my total and I am completely caught off guard… they were buy one, get one half off!! The cashier tried to tell me that I could still return a pair, and after 2-3 explanations I finally convinced her that because of this magnificant sale there was NO WAY I was going to return my new fabulous Birks!
Like I said, wasn’t convinced of this trend at first but I am officially onboard the Birk wagon.
Still not convinced… try a pair on and your feet will thank you. :) Any other Birk lovers out there?
